We are so proud of how all of our children have worked this year. Here is a reminder of our statutory data this year:
In Reception 72% children achieved a Good Level of Development. GLD stands for 'Good Level of Development'. This refers to a summative assessment judgement which is made for each EYFS child at the end of the Reception year. It is a measure of attainment, not progress. Achieving a good level of development will help children to make a good start in Year 1.
In Year 1, 78% pupils passed their phonic screening check. This is a short, statutory assessment to ensure that children are making sufficient progress in the phonics skills to read words and are on track to become fluent readers who can enjoy reading for pleasure and for learning.
In KS1, 71% children achieved age related expectations in Reading, 52% in Writing and 64% in Maths.
In Year 4, children undertook the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC). The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics. Whilst there is no pass mark, out of 25 marks: 77% achieved +20, 80% +18, 87% +16
Our Year 6 pupils took the KS2 SATs tests in May in Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS). Their writing was assessed against national criteria.
KS2 results: 78% in Reading, 80% in Writing, 76% in Maths, and 76% in GPS. 72% achieved Reading, Writing and Maths combined.
