Character Education

Character education develops the whole child as lifelong learners. We offer a wide variety of curricular and extracurricular activities to provide character education, including: subject lessons, dedicated character education assemblies, sports, performance arts clubs, outward bound trips and camp, extracurricular clubs and visitors.

These opportunities help young people to explore and express their character and build the skills they need for resilience, empathy and employability.

Main goals: -to create lifelong motivated learners

                     -to develop perseverance

                     - to build courage, honesty, generosity, integrity, humility, a sense of justice, emotional                                   intelligence and a moral compass

                     - to develop social confidence

                     - to set long-term goals to live a successful and fulfilled life

Research suggests that teaching character education lead to children developing character traits which can improve educational attainment, increased self belief, motivation, resilience, self-control, greater well-being, engagement with school and attendance.
